Blue Boot Creative Collective was inspired by my dad’s artwork—his way of healing and expressing himself through abstract forms. What began as a tool for recovery became a raw, emotional language of bold shapes and vibrant colors. One sculpture in particular—a boot filled with wooden poles—captured a sense of mystery and creative freedom. That spirit of curiosity and transformation lives on in Blue Boot, a space where personal expression fuels connection, exploration, and meaningful creative exchange.

In developing the logo, I explored various boot sketches to reflect the brand’s imperfect, organic voice. Inspired by a photo of my dad’s original sculpture, I aimed to capture its raw creativity and curiosity. The final mark represents a blend of his strength in expressive art and my strength in thoughtful design—merging two creative worlds to craft a symbol true to the spirit that sparked Blue Boot.

The visual system combines the expressive character of Humblle Rought as the primary typeface with the clean, modern structure of Montserrat as a secondary. Supporting icons draw inspiration from the abstract shapes, colors, and symbols found in my dad’s artwork, creating a cohesive and personal visual language. Applications include branded merchandise—like a hat, sweatshirt, and stickers—as well as a sample webpage that offers a glimpse into how the creative platform could look in action.

This project was deeply personal, rooted in the memory of my dad and our shared creative spirit. His absence became a powerful motivation to bring this brand to life for the both of us. Beyond honoring his influence, the process taught me how to thoughtfully build the foundation of a brand—from visual identity to voice—and helped me merge our passions into something he would be proud of.
